SOUTH CHINA SEA - The guided-missile destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90), front, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyers JS Yamayuki (DD-129) and JS Yamagiri (DD-152) conduct formation drills during a passing exercise.
ATLANTIC OCEAN - A landing craft utility from Assault Craft Unit 2 approaches the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1).
INDIAN OCEAN - An F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81 refuels an EA-6B Prowler assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 134 over the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).
ATLANTIC OCEAN - A CH-53 Echo helicopter assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 261 lands on the flight deck of the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7).
