U.S. Naval Academy’s 21st Annual Giving Tree

“It shows the generosity of the mids, the staff, the faculty,” says Midshipman 2nd Class Ricky Rodriguez, “and it shows that we’re here to help support more than just ourselves; more than just our own family, but help support the kids and families of the community, as well.”

The U.S. Naval Academy is a prestigious four-year service academy that has been preparing midshipmen morally, mentally and physically to be professional officers in the naval service since it was founded in 1845. Like all service members, the midshipmen also learn service to others before self, which is something the academy’s 6th Company has been demonstrating during the holiday season for the past 21 years:
