2017 in the U.S. Navy

For America’s Navy, 2017 was a story of maritime superiority, Sailor resiliency, as well as global assistance and partnership.

It’s a story that included the commissioning of a new class of aircraft carriers – the Ford class led by USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), Sailors’ making the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, and America’s Navy answering the call following disasters at home and abroad.

It’s our story captured in moments in time.
