As chief selectees head into phase two of CPO 365, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Mike Stevens drops by the Weekly Wire Rundown to give some words of encouragement and to answer some questions about the recent policy changes in the fleet.

MCPON discusses several ongoing personnel policy initiatives including the E-Sailor initiative, pay and compensation and the recent changes to the Navy’s fitness program.

“We want to make sure you’re fit all the time because we never know when we’re going to need to do something that requires us to be at our peak physical performance. This is also about a healt hy mind and about mission readiness for the Navy.”

“My expectations are what they’ve been for the last three years, and what we’ve done all year, and that’s to provide professional leadership training and development while treating one another with dignity and respect.”
