MCPON Hosts Second All Hands Call on Facebook

I was extremely honored to get the opportunity to have another virtual conversation with Sailors, family members, Navy civilians and retirees through social media.  I want to personally thank you for allowing me to spend some quality E-Time with you. I also want you to know that we simply could not complete our daily missions without any of you. Thank you for your continued excellence.

Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON)(AW/NAC) Mike D. Stevens hosted an online All Hands Call on the Navy's Facebook page on July 11.

On Thursday, more than 98,000 folks saw our Facebook chat session. The level of participation in events like the virtual all hands call, provide me with great humility and shows just how valuable the Internet is used to help leverage communication with you and the American public.

The questions varied from a civilian getting ready to enter naval service to a Vietnam veteran who simply logged on to say hello. I truly thank everyone who participated. I ask that you continue to work hard, stay out of trouble and be good and decent people.  Please see a review below of the event as it unfolded.
