PACIFIC OCEAN - The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer JS Amagiri (DD 154), the French navy frigate FNS Vendemiaire (F 734) and the mine countermeasures ship USS Defender (MCM 2) maneuver in formation during a passing exercise off the Northwestern coast of Kyushu, Japan.
ARABIAN SEA - An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Golden Falcons of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSC) 12 lands aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).
SASEBO, Japan - A landing craft air cusion assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5, Detachment Western Pacific, enters the well-deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2).
PACIFIC OCEAN - Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) carry a combat rubber raiding craft to the stern gate of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) during a night exercise.
